Leo is an experienced petroleum engineer and project manager with over 34 years' experience in the upstream oil services industry. He started his career with Schlumberger as a Formation Evaluation logging engineer and progressed to technical and managerial roles in various technical disciplines working in most of the major oil and gas producing regions. On leaving Schlumberger after a 20-year career he started up ANS Energy a Consultancy Company providing petroleum engineering, project management and strategic business development services to Operators and Service companies in West Africa and the North Sea.
During the period from 2004 - 2013, he worked as a Consultant Project Manager for FMC on subsea installation and commissioning projects in West Africa. From 2009 - 2013 he was the Well Services General Manager for Archer UK and West Africa region.
In 2014, when Aker Solutions completed the sale of their well intervention services division to private equity investors EQT, he joined the senior management of the new company Qinterra AS where he worked as VP Marketing for ALTUS Intervention (North Sea Business unit) and Marketing Manager for Qinterra Technologies (international technology services business unit).
In 2017 he re-joined ANS on a full-time basis and started building up skills and competencies in the Renewable Energy(RE) sector and completed courses in Renewable Energy Solutions and RE Management/Project Finance and was awarded the Galileo Master Certificate by the European Energy Centre.
He is active in the Society of Petroleum Engineers where he is a passionate advocate of the introduction of new technologies and a contributor/author of technical papers.
His specialist areas of expertise are product/service marketing, formation evaluation, well intervention, production logging, multiphase metering technology and remote operations.
He graduated from the University of Surrey with a First-Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering in 1982 and achieved Chartered Engineering status of the British Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in 1992.
Mr. Victor Imevbore is the Managing Director of Environmental Resources Managers Limited (ERML); one of the foremost sustainable development consulting and management firms in Nigeria today.
He holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan and a MSc in Geographical Information Systems (Coastal Erosion) from the University of London.
He has managed ERML since 1996, soon after the company was established. From its humble beginnings in 1996, with only one support staff, Mr Imevbore successfully grew the company’s stature and size to one of the most admired environmental and sustainable development consulting firms in Nigeria. By 2002, ERML was well known within the Nigerian oil and gas industry and internationally as a provider of quality environmental services.
Although an Engineer by training, Mr. Imevbore has exhibited a natural flair for the multi disciplinary field of sustainable development consulting. He has an enviable reputation as one of the best-rounded sustainable development practitioners in Nigeria and demonstrates not only the knowledge of pure science applications to environmental management of industrial activities, but also the social and cultural dimensions. His training as an engineer is readily identified in the way he has successfully applies scientific concepts to finding fit-for-purpose solutions to environmental challenges, particularly in the upstream oil and gas sector. He regularly manages large interdisciplinary expert teams on sustainable development studies and is also an established consultant with several oil and gas companies, other sectors, State Governments, Nigerian regulatory agencies, the World Bank/International Finance Corporation (IFC), UN Agencies and Financial Institutions in Nigeria.
In recognition of his scientific achievements, Mr. Imevbore received the distinguished Scientist award from the Faculty of Science of the respected Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2004, while the Environment Magazine honoured him as one of those who shape the environment in 2008.
He is a well-respected resource person on environmental issues and expert witness on knotty environmental litigation. Over the last 6 years, he has played a valuable role in the Nigerian oil and gas industry conferences on Health, Safety, Security and Environment, and is currently involved in various research areas including technology options to achieve zero harmful discharge of produced water in the Nigerian environment.
Victor Imevbore is married with a daughter and twin boys.
Graduating with an MSc and PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. Babs Oyeneyin has over 40 years of oil industry professional experience spanning industry, academia, consultancy, technology facilitation, research & development, and professional training in the oil industry.
He has worked as a field engineer and on professional attachment with major oil and gas service companies. Formerly Head of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Benin, followed by Well Engineering Project Manager in Petroleum Engineering Department at Heriot-Watt University with responsibility for joint industry well engineering funded projects and was an Associate of the Horizontal Well Technology Unit up to his current positions.
As well as his more recent research and product development interests, Professor Oyeneyin founded and chairs the Global Joint Industry Sand Management Network and was the 2011/2012 President of the Mining institute of Scotland within the Institute of Mining , Metals and Minerals.
Babs Oyeneyin; is now a Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Robert Gordon University Aberdeen UK, Managing Director of I-FLOW Energy Ltd - a technology and service company with focus on integrated Petroleum Engineering and flow assurance solutions. A Chartered Engineer and recognised specialist in the fields of integrated sand management, Multiphase fluid flow dynamics/flow assurance, well engineering, oil/gas reserve oirperformance, sand face completion design, drilling / production process optimisation, and integrated field and deepwater development.
Prof. Joseph O. Odigure is Professor of Chemical Engineering. He is currently the Chairman, Standardisation and Quality Assurance in Construction and Building Industry, Standards Organisation of Nigeria. He had served in the following capacities at various times: Dean of School of Engineering and Engineering Technology, Foundation Coordinator/Dean, School of Information and Communication Technology and Director, Centre for Open Distance and eLearning, at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria. He wasChairman, Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities and Vice President, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, He currently also serves as member in few national committees. He has authored and co-authored over 100 patents, research journal articles, books and conferences proceedings and as referee to various international journals. He is a Fellow, Australian Institute of High Energetic Materials. Fellow, Nigeria Association of Technologist Engineers.
Godwin Idoko is a versatile Oil and Gas Senior Manager with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 1986 and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Thermofluids) degreed from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Nigeria, in 1988. He holds MBA degrees from Johnson Cornell School of Business, Ithaca, New York, USA and Smith's School of Business of Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
He has over 30 years' experience in upstream Oil and Gas surface facilities that includes front end design, detailed design, Installation Engineering & Construction for Green fields and Brown fields covering several Onshore and Offshore projects.
He has worked with Oil Majors including Shell Petroleum development Company, Sea Truck Group (STG) and GE Oil and Gas.
He is a Professional Engineer (PE) of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and Registered by Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), a Fellow of the Nigeria Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FNiMechE), and a Member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) as well as Society of petroleum Engineers.
